WESTART live – Baroque in your mind: Art event with Sala Lieber
Baroque and Rococo – Sala Lieber has been fascinated by this era since childhood. The painter loves the objects, instruments, buildings, and castles and feels a strong connection to this time. The works of the Hungarian-born artist, who now lives and works in Neuss, can never be Baroque enough. Her paintings are imaginative, colorful stories featuring nudes, feathered creatures, and figures.
“They always capture the positive, the vibrant, where everything is bustling and moving. That's something that really reflects my life,” says the painter, who studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Jörg Immendorff and was a master student of Professor Herbert Brandl.
At Westart live, Sala Lieber will offer a glimpse into her creative process. Using charcoal and white paint, she will paint a “fall from grace” on canvas. Author: Cordula Echterhoff
