Sala Lieber grew up in a family of antique dealers, which instilled in her a love for the Baroque and Rococo periods. Her creativity was fostered from childhood. At 19, she began her studies in painting at the renowned Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with a master's degree in Düsseldorf in 2006.

Sala Lieber's teaching is based on two pillars: life drawing and the study of materials.

Life drawing with rapid changes of the model's position trains the eye and perception, helping participants learn to focus on the essentials. Longer poses are interspersed throughout, allowing for a more intensive study of anatomy and shadows. Corrections and discussions about the work facilitate development and accelerate the participants' learning process.

Various materials are used in the lessons, including charcoal pencils, ink, sanguine pencils, and oil paints. The advantages and artistic possibilities of these materials are explained and complemented by tips and tricks from the artist.
